Cupcake Tutorial

To start making a cupcake out of clay can be done a ton of different ways but this is what I do to make them. It's a really simple way and doesn't really need anything much.

What you will need

1. 3 different colored clays (icing, cupcake, cherry)
2. toothpick or a needle
3. glue

If you want sprinkles you can use glitter, scrap clay or what ever you want and if you want it to be a charm you will need a loop and gloss.

 1. first you'll need to take the cupcake part (i used yellow) and make it into a can shape.

then you need to roll the icing part out, not perfectly though because it will give the cupcake to many layers and will look odd if you do.

 2. Then after you've done that you should take your icing and wrap it on top of the can shape like so. you may want to add glue but you don't have to.

  3. After you warped it all around you may be a bit short, it will be ok though you can put the cherry there if you have that. if not then just put it right in the middle. 

 4. Once you've done that you use you needle or toothpick to make lines like the paper warped around the cupcake. 

  5. After you've done this you can add sprinkles, loop or anything else you want. then you bake it. (make sure you look on the clay's package to no how long and temp.) then you can add gloss as well to give it a shiny look.
